💀 A 2d platformer ðŸ’€

💀Smash the pumpkins and exit to the void 💀

  • Arrow Keys, Shift, Control, Space
  • S - save checkpoint
  • L - load checkpoint
  • T - toggle trick or treat
  • F - toggle fuzz noise
  • Page Up, Page Down - zoom view
  • A,D,W,X - adjust player center

There are a variety of levels that use falling and disappearing platforms  to aid or prevent your goal of destroying all the pumpkins and then exiting into the void ( Visual Theme ).

Skulls and angry pumpkins must be 'smashed' with a pile-drive attack. (Jump and land on them while holding the down arrow).

Other pumpkins can be 'carved' with shift key knife attack. (Hold shift to run into them with a knife).

There are JSON levels that allow you to copy and paste JSON configuration into the game which allows you to create the JSON for your own level creations.  Please post any JSON levels you create here.

There is an experimental ASCII editor that lets you create a 100x100 grid of dashes and letters.  Each letter builds a different platform or placement of a game object. This will take a lot of experimentation but could be a feasible way to create levels.  Save your copy/pasted text externally and then paste into the editor and click play to try them out.

There is a trick-or-treat mode - After a configured delay, the control keys are swapped!  (left is right, and right is left)

- This is to support the trick or treat theme idea where 'a helpful feature turns against you'.

You can touch the signs to save your checkpoint, or use the (S)ave feature, then you use the (L)oad feature to return to your last saved position

- This is to support the trick or treat theme idea of a 'checkpoint system to never lose your place'.

Enjoy, and thanks for any comments.

Hey! Honestly smashing game(see what I did haha) i love everything from the ui to sound the level design. however there were a few issues in some maps of inability to get on specific platforms?

I assure you, I've been able to solve each level (with a lot of practice of course).  Thanks for your comments.  Feel free to try and make your own level with the 'experimental level editor'.  All you do is put different letters at different places and that's how you put platforms, your start position, the exit, etc.

aaah okay! I do apologise about that I'll give another go definitely. I'll check the creator out at some point as well
