TRIVIA-GO is a real-world trivia adventure inspired by Pokémon GO, where players explore locations to discover general knowledge challenges, location-based questions, and interactive Scene It–style video trivia that tests memory and observation skills.

Here’s the current prototype and early concept for the game I’ve been developing. I’d love to hear any feedback, ideas, or suggestions while it’s still in the early stages. Based on the response, I plan to continue expanding the gameplay, improving the presentation, and polishing it into something more fully playable.

The core idea is a real-world trivia exploration game inspired by Pokémon GO. Players move around in the real world using their smartphones to discover and answer trivia questions tied to locations. Right now, the prototype pulls questions from Open Trivia, but the long-term plan includes user-submitted questions, location-specific trivia, and more interactive challenge types.

To answer a question, players need to physically travel close to its real-world location. Some gameplay mechanics can increase your interaction range, allowing you to answer questions from farther away, while other effects may reduce that range and require you to get even closer before the question becomes accessible.

One feature I’m especially interested in exploring is “Scene It?”-style memory challenges, where players watch short video clips and then answer questions based on what they saw.

This project isn’t intended to seriously compete in the jam itself, but I think it could evolve into a fun and unique Itch.io game/project worth building and sharing.

I genuinely appreciate any feedback — positive or critical. This is still a rough prototype and far from polished, but I wanted to put the idea out there early to see if it’s something worth investing more time into.
